An expelling machine for extracting oil from groundnut seeds was designed and fabricated for market oriented production. The procedures employed the design stage, construction and testing. The machine components are: the speed reduction gear, expellant unit, drains collector, driving and driven pulleys, and the hopper.

Development of an Improved Groundnut Oil Expelling Machine
In the present study, an improved expelling machine which can extract oil from groundnut seeds was developed to increase the rate of groundnut oil production in the market and lessen the pains most farmers faced during the extraction process. The major design factors are also considered during the fabrication process. 2. Materials and Methods

Expeller use a horizontal rotating metal screw, which feeds oil-bearing seeds into a barrel shaped outer casing with perforated walls according to Maul et al (2011).

The components design includes the hopper, machine capacity, casing, conveyor trays, vibrator motor, heating filament, shaft diameter, auger, belt length and velocity of electric motor.
