This study suggests that steam explosion pretreatment destroys the biological cell structure of sesame seed, resulting in better extraction, which is beneficial to oil extraction from sesame seed. As such, it may be said that steam explosion pretreatment is an effective and indeed feasible method for the extraction of sesame seed oil.
