SUSTAINABLE CERTIFIED COCONUT OIL PRODUCTION
The Sustainable Certified Coconut Oil Production (SCNO) is a joint project by the private and public sector together with the Deutsche Gesellscha! für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in the Southeast Asian countries Indonesia and Philippines.
According to an endline survey carried out by an independent provider of market research and consulting services, the joint project has proven that certified coconut oil production is making a difference in farmer’s lives. Certified coconut farmers harvest more and have a productivity which is 26% higher in comparison to non-involved farmers.

The Sustainable Certified Coconut Oil project (SCNO) is a public-private-partnership initiative which aims at increasing the quantity of sustainably produced and certified coconut oil and at increasing smallholder coconut farmers’ incomes in the Philippines and in Indonesia.
